International Theatre Festival "Eclairs de Scène"

"The fact of being an international festival means presenting a variety of very different kinds of theaters with a wide cultural spectrum.

It provides the opportunity for acquaintances to be made extending beyond borders".

M-C. B.

35rd edition :

25th-29th May 2021

 International Theatre Festival

Éclairs de Scène

- online -

A Theatre Festival ?

Yes, and it is the freshness and the strength of the young theatre that shine on stage : the performances are led by actors from age 6 to 21!

Creations, interpretations, comedies, tragedies, ... through the choices of the actors, what is shown is a reflection of this day and age.

The Festival is  open to the public (tickets available online).

Actions with different audiences, notably schools, are put in place.

International ?

The troupes come from France and from abroad. Many languages come together on stage : the performances are presented in French or in the native language of the troupe. A summary of the play is handed out in French, in French Sign Language and in English before the beginning of each performance.

20 performances : the competition is harsh !

NO : the festival is not a competition! Its intent is to generate rewarding meetings and lasting, flourishing cultural exchanges. At the end of the week, a professional jury gives a distinction that points out a particular quality of each performance.

To reinforce exchanges, activities are set up for the groups and volunteering host families in Toulouse accommodate the foreign young actors during their entire stay.

Performances coming one after another and ?

Theatre workshops given by foreign and French directors present at the Festival.

A bookshop dedicated to Theatre (in partnership with the bookshop Ombres Blanches from Toulouse).

An international market, which proposes arts and crafts from the countries represented at the Festival.

A tea room , meeting point where you can chat with the actors or simply read a good book with a nice cup of tea...

35 edition, no less !

The Festival, the first one and one of a kind !
